ABOUT ME

I'm AJ Grove, a fashion stylist based in New York with a drive for creating visual narratives through clothing.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, I moved to New York without connections and have since built a substantial portfolio through determination and hard work. My editorial experience spans prestigious publications including V Magazine, i-D Magazine, Icon Magazine, and Vogue Australia, where I've had the privilege of collaborating with industry luminaries like Patti Wilson, Anna Trevelyan, and Nicola Formichetti.

My client roster includes notable talents such as Karlie Kloss, Tyla, Aubrey Plaza, Lil Yachty, and Cooper Koch. I've contributed to compelling editorials, impactful campaigns, and distinctive fashion stories across both print and digital platforms, developing a signature aesthetic that balances commercial appeal with editorial edge.

What sets me apart is my uncompromising work ethic and problem-solving ability. I anticipate needs before they arise and thrive under pressure.

Whether that means working through 3 a.m. returns, securing looks without showroom access, or transforming challenging fittings into polished final looks under impossible deadlines. Currently managing client relations at The Box NYC, I've honed my ability to handle high-profile events, maintain professional communications, and navigate complex logistics with precision and discretion.

My styling philosophy blends structural precision with intuitive creativity. I gravitate toward silhouettes that communicate—juxtaposing tough softness, incorporating high shine elements, and layering sheer textures over raw materials. While I respect the integrity of the garments, I'm ultimately focused on their transformation on the body and the story they help tell. This portfolio showcases my range—from styling I've personally directed to projects where I've provided crucial support, each piece reflecting my commitment to creating memorable visual moments.
